Park Ambassador Program

park ambassador program LP

The Union Township Park Ambassador program strengthens the bond between communities and parks. This program is volunteer-driven comprised of committed community members who assist with parks services, special events, and Township activities.

This new program is designed to promote community ownership and stewardship within Union Township parks. Park Ambassador volunteers will be offered training on the best ways to provide a visible presence in Township parks. You may find Park Ambassadors monitoring assigned park areas and facilities to ensure safety and security, providing assistance and information to residents and visitors, reporting violations and answering questions about various Township regulations as appropriate and, when necessary, informing staff of disturbances. Park Ambassadors may also be seen engaging in cleanup and beautification initiatives within the parks or around the Township and performing countless activities in and around our parks, with the goal of building lasting connections in our community.

Park Ambassadors will be required to attend the Township’s Ambassador Orientation and volunteer training. The Ambassador may be requested to volunteer at least two or three hours a week, or more if willing and able. For more information, please reach out to Pat Ebright at 513.753.2221.
