John Becker began his first term as a Union Township Trustee on January 1, 2022.
Previously, Mr. Becker served as the State Representative for Union Township and all of northwestern Clermont County. He served in that capacity from 2013 through 2020 when term limits prevented him from running for re-election.
Becker earned a Xavier University MBA with an emphasis in Taxation, a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Kentucky University in Business Management with a minor in Psychology, a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), holds a current school district treasurer's license, and is a graduate of the Union Township Citizens Police Academy.
Prior to his transition to public service, Mr. Becker's 30-year career in the private sector spanned multiple industries including manufacturing, managed healthcare, banking and finance. He had management-level positions and specialized in reporting, analysis, data mining, and spreadsheet modeling. Mostly retired, Becker currently operates a tax preparation business for individuals and small businesses. He is IRS EFIN and PTIN credentialed.
While still a bachelor, Mr. Becker bought his first house in Union Township in 1985. He and his wife, Dottie, have lived in their current Eastgate home since 1991. Becker has two adult children and a son-in-law who is an active-duty commissioned U.S. Army officer.
